Who this covers

Owner’s Desk is a product of Smart Growth Services, based in Devine, Texas. This policy covers the Owner’s Desk marketing website at getownersdesk.com, and ownersdeskhq.com, which points to the same site.

It does not cover the Owner’s Desk application itself once you have an account, and it does not replace the Smart Growth Services privacy policy, which governs our social-media and text-message programs.

What this website collects on its own

Nothing. Reading this site does not require an account, and we do not run analytics, advertising pixels, session recording or social-media trackers on it.

The pages load one stylesheet and one script, both served from this domain. Your browser may store the ordinary cookies WordPress sets to make a website work; we do not use them to build a profile of you.

Our web host and our DNS provider keep their own standard server and security logs, which typically include IP addresses. Those logs exist to run and protect the site.

What happens when you use the form

Two pages — Contact and our conference page — show a sign-up form. That form is served by Job Desk, our own system, from crm.smartgrowth.live. Everything you type goes there.

The form asks for:

• Your name and email — required, so we can reply.
• A mobile number — optional. It is only needed if you want text messages.
• A message — optional.
• A text-message consent box — optional, and never ticked for you.

When you submit it, we create a contact and a lead record so a person can follow up with you by email.

If you leave the consent box unticked, that is all that happens. No consent record is created, and you will not be sent a text message.

If you do tick it, we additionally store a record of that consent: the exact wording you agreed to, when you agreed, the number you gave, and the IP address and browser the form was submitted from. That record exists so we can show a phone company that you agreed, if we are ever asked. Text messages are governed by the Smart Growth Services privacy policy and terms of service, which describe that program.

You can stop text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you can ask us to remove you by emailing [email protected].

Who else can see it

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared for third-party marketing, and are never sent to an advertising platform.

The companies that run our infrastructure necessarily process information on our behalf, and only to provide their service to us:

• Hostinger — hosts this website.
• Cloudflare — provides DNS for our domains.
• Job Desk — our own system, where your form submission is stored.
• Twilio — delivers text messages, if you have asked for them.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Your choices

Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you asked for text messages, we keep the record of that consent for as long as we may need to show it was given, even after you opt out — that record is what protects both of us.

This website is intended for adults in the United States, and our text-message program is available to US mobile numbers for people 18 or over.
