What these terms cover

These terms apply to the Owner’s Desk website at getownersdesk.com, and to ownersdeskhq.com, which points to the same site. Owner’s Desk is a product of Smart Growth Services, based in Devine, Texas.

They are not a software agreement. Using this website does not give you an Owner’s Desk account. If and when you sign up for the application, the terms presented to you at that point govern the software, your subscription and your data — not this page.

Our text-message program has its own terms in the Smart Growth Services terms of service.

Early access, and what it is not

Owner’s Desk is opening to early users. Asking for access through the form on this site records your request and means we will email you when access is available.

It does not create an account, it does not reserve a price, it does not commit us to giving you access, and nothing is charged. We may contact you, and we may decide the product is not a fit for your situation — we would rather tell you that than take your money.

Prices and product descriptions on this site

We do not publish plan prices here. When we do, the price you are shown before you buy is the price that governs, together with whatever is disclosed alongside it about usage, additional charges and cancellation.

Descriptions of Deal Desk, Property Desk and Job Desk on this site describe what those desks are for. Software changes, and what is available to you depends on your plan and on the state of the product when you start. Ask us what is working before you rely on any particular workflow.

If you find something on this site that overstates what the product does, tell us and we will fix it.

The checklist and other information here

The New Landlord Readiness Checklist and the rest of the writing on this site are educational. They are general information, not advice about your property, your business or your circumstances.

Nothing here is legal, tax, financial, lending, investment, insurance, property-management or real-estate advice. We do not guarantee income, returns, occupancy or that you will comply with any law. Requirements differ by state, by city and sometimes by individual property, and they change. Verify current requirements and use qualified professionals.

You are welcome to use and print the checklist for your own business. Please do not republish or resell it as your own.

Using the site fairly

Please do not attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorized access to this site or the systems behind it, submit other people’s personal information through our form, or use it to send anything unlawful. We may block access if you do.

Do not send tenant personal information, Social Security numbers, bank details or property documents through the form on this site. It is a general enquiry form, not a secure document channel.

Availability, and the limits of what we promise

This is a marketing website. We do not promise it will be available without interruption, and we may change or remove anything on it.

The site and its content are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, Smart Growth Services is not liable for losses arising from your use of this website or from decisions you make based on the general information on it. Nothing here limits anything that cannot lawfully be limited.
